Derby County have had a record breaking season this year including the most points and the most wins in a league season.
Paul Warne got his players to produce some brilliant football to finish second in League One and earn their rightful spot back in the Championship.
There were a number of stand out performers this season as the Rams finished with the best defensive record in League One and the fifth-best scoring record.
But who are this year’s award winners? Here are Derby World’s 2023/24 Derby County awards.
1. Player of the season: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
A very tricky award to pick as there have been so many stars in Derby's team this year. But Mendez-Laing became virtually the focal point of Derby's play on the ball. He had more goal involvements than any other player in League One this season with nine goals and 16 assists in 46 games. A true leader on and off the pitch.
2. Young player of the season: Eiran Cashin
Cashin has to be in the running for the overall player of the season award, but he can at least get his praise here. The 22 year-old nearly went to Brighton in the summer and Derby will be delighted that he stayed. Cashin has been excellent this season and again proved himself to being one of the best young defenders in the EFL.
3. Breakout player of the season: Louie Sibley
Sibley has had plenty of success for Derby in past seasons, so in that sense he hasn't had a breakout as such. However, this season, the midfielder played at left wing back under Paul Warne's system and it gave him a new lease of life. He tackled well and was excellent in transition play to set Derby on the attack. A breakout in a new role for Sibley.
4. Goal of the season: Ebou Adams vs Blackpool
The goal of the season goes to the fan favourite midfielder Ebou Adams, who hit a sweet first time strike against Blackpool at Pride Park at the end of March in what was a convincing 1-0 win for the Rams. The ball came out to him on the edge of the box and Adams struck it on the half-volley into the top corner, well deserved.
