The Baslow Edge walk offers an excellent opportunity to explore this beautiful region and it’s not too high or too long - making it perfect for little legs!

Baslow Edge is located near the village of Baslow in Derbyshire within the Peak District National Park. It's easily accessible by car and public transportation.

The Baslow Edge walk can vary in length depending on the route you choose to take. Typically, a circular walk around Baslow Edge can range from 3 to 5 miles, but shorter routes are also available.

Highlights of the Baslow Edge walk include stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, with vistas stretching across the rolling hills of the Peak District.

On a clear day, you can see Chatsworth House to the left and Kinder Plateau to the right. This walk can be made longer by combining it with the Curbar Edge walk (where you might even spot some cows!).

You'll also encounter fascinating rock formations, such as the famous Eagle Stone, which sits atop Baslow Edge and offers a fantastic viewpoint.

The Peak District is home to a diverse range of wildlife, and you may encounter various bird species, including kestrels and peregrine falcons, as well as sheep and highland cows grazing in the fields.
