It could be a great way to get some steps in as you walk around the town and learn about the local history of Bakewell, which is widely believed to be one of the most haunted places in the UK.

Haunted Bakewell

The market town has a long history dating back to 924 when it was first mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle.

This means centuries’ worth of history - perhaps stories of old souls too - that could be explored.

On the tour listen to chilling stories about eerie noises, ghost sightings and more.

The walking tour begins at Bakewell Visitor Centre and lasts for 60 minutes.

A special tour of Bakewell Old House Museum will then follow.
