Major Midlands construction company to be dissolved as administrators provide final update
The business had run into difficulties following the insolvency of a key supplier
According to Insider Media, the administrators of a Midlands-headquartered construction firm have issued a final update confirming that the business is set to be dissolved.
Tim Bateson and Ryan Grant of Interpath Advisory were appointed as joint administrators of Enrok Construction Ltd on 23 January 2024.
The family-run company specialised in the design, build and project management of residential and commercial developments, operating from offices in Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
The business had run into difficulties following the insolvency of a key supplier, alongside delays to contracts that placed increased pressure on cash flow.
In their final progress report, the administrators confirmed that ordinary preferential creditors were paid in full, totalling £5,471. A first and final dividend of 34.8p in the pound was also paid to secondary preferential creditors. However, the report stated that there were insufficient funds available to pay a dividend to unsecured creditors.
The update added that the final progress report has been filed with the Registrar of Companies along with the required notice. The administration will formally come to an end once the documents are registered, with the company due to be dissolved three months later.
Enrok Construction collapsed owing more than £1m to trade creditors.
