Trattoria Lalis: Italian restaurant teases 'exciting' updates including new bar and glass roof


Trattoria Lalis, an Italian restaurant on Friar Gate, is gearing up to reopen its doors following a refurbishment.
Located on 38 Friar Gate, the eatery that serves up wood-fired pizza and freshly cooked pasta closed for three weeks.

Hide AdIt is set to welcome the public back on Tuesday August 6, 2024.
People can expect several big changes to the interior and exterior of the building.
Speaking to DerbyWorld, a spokesman for Trattoria Lalis said: “There will be some exciting updates at Trattoria Lalis.
“We’re making several enhancements to improve our space and overall guest experience.

Hide Ad“There will be the addition of a bar which we’ve incorporated in the seating area to ensure drinks are served more efficiently.
“A new coffee machine is being installed, making us the only spot on Friar Gate offering takeaway coffee.”
The restaurant has opted for a more cosy aesthetic, which will also see the addition of a new sofa.


The spokesperson added: “Yes, we will have special seating, a new sofa is being added to make one of our tables extra special.

Hide Ad“Upgrades to the décor will include all walls being painted and the glass roof being enhanced.
“There will be new flooring too, that will refresh the ambiance inside.”
The exterior will see a glow up too which includes a refreshed colour scheme and brand new design elements.

Two ramps have also been added to replace steps, making the restaurant more accessible.
Trattoria Lalis is a popular restaurant in Derby.
Its Friar Gate location is approximately five minutes’ away from the city centre.
The eatery is a hit with diners who rave about its ‘exceptional food,’ and ‘excellent service’ giving it a top five star rating gleaned from 22 Tripadvisor reviews.
