Leicester-based B2M full-service agency, CWA, has announced it has successfully secured a recertification of an important new data protection standard to ISO 27001:2022 by the British Standards Institute (BSI).

Achieving ISO 27001:2022 demonstrates CWA’s ongoing commitment to client security and builds enhanced trust with clients, ensuring that the business is meeting an internationally recognised level standard. The recertification to a new standard also demonstrates CWA’s commitment to continuous improvement and promises that the agency will continue to review and enhance security measures, to stay ahead of any emerging cyber threats.

The agency had already been certified to the previous ISO 27001:2013 standard for many years, but sought to invest heavily in administration, technical and physical controls during the last 12 months in order to meet the new higher-level standard.

Nicola Adams, Managing Director at CWA, commented: "In today’s digital age, the protection of information and data is of paramount importance. This applies both to ourselves and the clients that we represent. Other agencies might see this as a tick box exercise – we certainly don’t! It’s something we take incredibly seriously and spend time training our team in every aspect."

"The ISMS team has worked incredibly hard over the last year for us to achieve this recertification and it demonstrates to everyone that they can have full trust and confidence in CWA to manage their data and security."

With a history spanning nearly six decades, CWA has built a reputation for delivering award-winning creative, marketing, events and communications solutions to clients worldwide. The agency’s focus on data security demonstrates its ongoing commitment to remain at the forefront of the industry, while continuing to evolve to meet the changing requirements of its clients.
