Derby Beer Con 2023: 17 photos celebrate beer festival culture at Bustler’s Chocolate Factory

The two-day event also saw a number of beers being launched over the weekend

Organisers at one of the city’s biggest beer festivals are already planning next year’s event following a packed out Derby Beer Con event over the weekend.

Derby Beer Con which is in its sixth year, ran on Friday September 15, and Saturday September 16, 2023.

It showcased 89 beers from breweries including Little Brewing Company from Derby, Bang The Elephant Brewery and Pentrich Brewery from Derbyshire, Black Iris Brewery, Liquid Light Brewery and Neon Raptor Brewery all from Nottingham plus more from across the UK.

The event was also a celebration of brewers from Europe who offered 44 beers to the festival’s discerning beer fans.

Spirits were soaring and rightly so after a number of beers were launched to make the event even more special.

Truckasaurus by the Ripley based Pentrich Brewery went down a storm, with people appreciating the hoppy IPA with tropical fruit notes and a hint of fragrant lime.

Flying the flag for Europe were Ārpus Brewing whose Cognac BA imperial stout felt celebratory with its Hennessy finish.

Here are 17 photos of brewers, beer fans and food from last weekend.
