Stunning riverside campsite tucked away on edge of Peak District tops list of UK’s most pet-friendly campsites

Summer vacations means every single member of your family - including bouncy, four-legged friends - should be able to enjoy fun in the sun.
A Derbyshire campsite has been named the UK’s most pet-friendly campsite in a new list from outdoor experts GO Outdoors.
Approximately 37% of UK families now travel with their dogs, and as pet-friendly staycations continue to be increasingly popular, Laneside Caravan Park features top of the list of the UK’s best campsites for your furry friends.
Located just five minutes away from the village of Hope in Derbyshire, Laneside Caravan Park has beaten giants from Wales, Cornwall and Dorset.
Laneside Caravan Park was awarded a 4.81 score out of 5.
It also boasts a whopping 146 dog-friendly trails in the vicinity, the highest number on the list.
That is over double the number found at the second highest dog-friendly trails site of Cae Du Campsite which has 58.
Nestled in the Peak District, Laneside Caravan Park is the perfect location for scenic hikes with pets.
A selection of cafés and pubs, such as The Old Hall Hotel, can be found in the village, as well as greengrocers, butchers, and a deli to sample some high-quality local produce.
On average, a three-night stay at the campsite during July costs just under £84, and 98% of previous visitors recommend the campsite.
There is even a small exercise area for dogs and a large walking area for the whole family to stretch their legs and take in the beautiful scenery.
Other facilities include heated modern toilets and showers, a laundry room, a football field, table tennis tables, and a boules court.
GO Outdoors analysed various factors to create the list.
They include the average temperature in summer months, cost for a three-night stay, if there are any onsite shops, the percentage of people who would recommend staying at the campsite, and the number of outdoor activities within 10km of the campsite to reveal the UK’s best pet-friendly campsites.
