3 East Midlands Indian restaurants revealed among best in UK - British Curry Championship 2025's full list

Three East Midlands restaurants have been named in a new listing that ranks the best Indian restaurants in the UK.

Winners of the inaugural British Curry Championship have been announced, recognising achievements of chefs, restaurants and takeaways within the UK’s thriving curry scene.

The British Curry Championship is a new culinary award ceremony which celebrates the talents of those working in the curry industry across the UK.

Spice Bazzar in Leicester was a big winner on the night flying the flag for the East Midlands.

The Welford Road based eatery won Leicestershire Curry Champion of the Year and East Midlands Curry Champion of the Year.

Kottaram Restaurant scooped Nottinghamshire Curry Champion of the Year.

Manager of the Year went to Paddy’s Marten Inn, Leicester.

Irfan Younis, spokesperson for the British Curry Championship said: “These awards provide a platform to applaud the exceptional efforts of those who have made significant contributions to the curry sector and continue to elevate the nation’s love for curry.

“We’d like to congratulate all of our winners on their incredible accomplishments.”
