The quaint farm shop selling home-made pies offering stunning countryside views across Derbyshire
There is something rather magical about a farm shop, which is usually a cosy haven offering artisan, local produce.
I am on a mission to explore beautiful farm shops across Derbyshire and beyond, which is how I found myself at Croots Farm Shop in Belper.

I visited one bright Saturday afternoon and tucked into a filling, tasty lunch of pie and mash.
What I loved most about the farm shop are the views from the giant windows.
I sipped coffee and gazed out of the window, enjoying views across the Derbyshire countryside.

Stocking local produce such as Chatsworth Gold Peak Ales beer, plus freshly squeezed orange juice, Croots is the place to be on any weekend, in any season.
Croots is also the perfect place to enjoy a bracing spring walk. There are several walking routes including Foals Footpath, Mare March and Shire Stride.
