In one of Derby’s exciting collaborations in recent times, leading sustainability champion Jamie Quince-Starkey will branch out into the foodie events space by collaborating with acclaimed local caterer, Cherry Pickle Catering.

The move aims to put sustainability on the menu which organisers say has been ‘thoughtfully crafted’ using foraged and locally sourced produce.

The event will appeal to those who love good food and who want to explore cooking with a conscience.

Cherry Pickle Catering said their ‘special pop up event for herbivores and carnivores’ will use seasonal vegetables, foraged food, local meat and food supporting local farmers.

Speaking on a video social post, Jamie Quince-Starkey said: ‘FEED has gone incredibly well, there are a handful of tickets left. We are buzzing about this event, it’s our little baby for this year. Food needs to be pre-ordered as we’re working with local foragers, suppliers and farmers. Tickets will be coming offline on Sunday 16th June. I am urging you, if you don’t want to miss out on this event, this is your call now to make sure you get your ticket. See you there on the 23rd though.’

The menu pays homage to local produce including Mickleover honey and foraged mushrooms.

A selection of mouth-watering dishes to be served on the day are bao buns stuffed with teriyaki pulled beef, delicate vegetable sushi with punchy fermented kimchi, succulent pressed lamb shoulder in tagine sauce and elegant Madeleines with pine nut syrup.
