Celebrate National Hot Chocolate Day 2025: 15 cosy cafes serving delicious hot chocolate in Derbyshire

It is National Hot Chocolate Day on Friday January 31, 2025.

We needed very little persuading to compile a cafe round-up of all the places where to enjoy hot chocolate.

Luckily for Derbyshire residents, there are plenty of cosy cafes and coffee shops where you can hunker down and enjoy creamy, dreamy hot chocolate.

Here is a list of places, in alphabetical order where you can hunker down and enjoy tasty hot chocolate, some of the best in the region.

BEAR Derby

Serving avant-garde flavoured hot chocolate from its rustic cafe on Iron Gate, BEAR is a popular city cafe with presence across the East Midlands and beyond.

Its warm interiors with an industrial edge makes BEAR an intriguing place to settle down. Try to bag a seat near the window and you can even people watch - and if you’re lucky, watch gently drifting snowfall.
