The Derbyshire beauty spot in pretty Peak District named one of Britain’s best waterfalls

There is something so enchanting about a waterfall, luckily for us Derbyshire is on our doorstep.

A Derbyshire beauty spot with a breath-taking waterfall has been named as one of the best in the country.

Nature experts at Countryfile have named Kinder Waterfall, Derbyshire as one of the top waterfalls in Britain.

Located in the Peak District National Park - the highest point in the Peak District - the waterfall is part of the stunning beauty of Kinder Scout trail.

Filled with dramatic crags and acres of stunning scenery over windswept landscape, Kinder Waterfall is popular with explorers and hikers of all levels.

Countryfile said: ‘The rugged waterfall of Kinder Downfall is one of Kinder's highlights. When strong westerlies blow, the waters are forced upwards back onto the plateau.’

Here is a selection of photos of Kinder Scout and Kinder Downfall.
