The annual Photography & Video Show wrapped up yesterday (Tuesday, March 17) marking the end of four days that has seen thousands of visitors descend onto NEC Birmingham.
The show is a must-visit for anyone keen to learn more about cameras, and all things video and photography.
I enjoy taking photos for both my job and in my personal life too.
In anticipation of the event I trawled the social media feed of the show’s organisers. What I discovered was a dedicated fan base who consider the event as an informative day out, with people travelling across the country for it.
At the show there was presence from industry giants Canon, Adobe, Nikon, Sony, Samsung and more.
My favourite part of the event was attending talks and presentations by experts in the field.
I flitted between two main areas of Creator Stage, and the Editing & Post-Production Suite.
If I hadn’t attended the show, I would never have heard from experts such as Charlie Lawrance, Kym Moseley and Tamara Gabriel.
One idea for 2027 show organisers is next time is to have a slight gap between talks, as there were several I missed out on due to a timing clash on the different stages.
Here is the roundup of the event in photos showing personal highlights from the show.
I am waiting for 2027 dates to be announced and cannot wait to get them in my diary.

What I learnt more about on the day, is that there is so much more that goes on behind taking the perfect camera shot. Giant light boxes can be used to great effect as well. | Ria Ghei

The 'mini' photo studios looked so very authentic, at one point I felt as if I had inadvertently walked into a real studio. | Ria Ghei

Another 'mini' photo studio saw a model wearing a haute couture dress against harlequin decor. It gave people the chance to get a glimpse into the lighting set-up that professional fashion photographers may have to use. Light in this shot includes the two large floor mounted lamps, plus hidden lamps tucked away in the rose bushes. | Ria Ghei
