Pubs with camping sounds like a marriage made in heaven, pulling together the best of both worlds - of outdoor living and cosy drinks.
There is something so very alluring about embracing the great outdoors, then finishing off the day with a nightcap at a busy bar, sipping a hand-pulled pint of real ale.
There are three pubs in and around Derbyshire that have camping grounds either onsite, or nearby.
The peaceful Irondale campsite is part of traditional pub The Chequers Inn. There is also a serene lake perfect for fishing or watching the world go.
The pretty Royal Oak country pub campsite is next door to Tissington trails and High Peak.
The Forest Pod is a contemporary camping alternative, based near the delightful Leathers Smithy pub. There is also Ridgegate Reservoir nearby, making it a charming place for a staycation.
