Fun photos from Amazon Kegworth’s fifth birthday party show team in joyous mood
Cakes, ice cream, hot dogs and more were served to happy colleagues who came together to celebrate
It isn’t a birthday party without cake and Amazon Kegworth pulled out all the stops for its five-year celebration.
Team at the fulfilment centre recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a week-long series of events.
Its Wilders Way location saw the team enjoy fun activities and tuck into cupcakes, hotdogs and funky snacks.
The celebration that lasted one full week, also included a racing-themed day.
People could clamber into a race car simulator and enjoy slot-car racing.
An onsite ice cream van brought smiles all round.
Gary Norton, General Manager at Amazon in Kegworth, said: “We’ve had a great five years in Kegworth, and it was important for us to mark the occasion with these celebrations.
“We wanted to say ‘thank you’ to our team for the work they do to put smiles on the faces of our customers around the UK.”
Claudia Mondini works at Amazon in Kegworth. She said: “It was really lovely to get together with my colleagues and have fun celebrating our fifth anniversary – and made even better with cupcakes!”
Amazon Kegworth opened in 2019 to help meet growing customer demand and increase product selection. The fulfilment centre is thought to have created more than 500 full-time jobs in operations, HR, IT, finance and engineering.
