BBC’s Bargain Hunt filmed at Derby auction house


Popular daytime BBC One show Bargain Hunt has filmed an episode at a Derby auction house.
The episode was filmed at Bamfords Auctioneers in Spondon earlier this week.

Hide AdFilming involved the Antiques, Interiors, Estates and Collectables auction on Wednesday, February 7.

A total of 619 lots were auctioned during the sale, the most expensive of which being an opal and diamond cluster ring, with a hammer price of £1,000.
In a Facebook post, Bamfords encouraged members of the public to “come on down, join the fun and participate in the bidding”.
Airing every weekday at 12.15pm, Bargain Hunt involves two pairs of contestants battling to make the most profit on items they’ve bought from antiques shops or fairs.

Hide AdEach episode is presented by one of seven presenters, including Eric Knowles, Charlie Ross and Caroline Hawley.
Bamfords Auctions was founded in 2002 and has salerooms in Derby and Rowsley, near Bakewell.
The BBC has not yet confirmed when the episode will be broadcast.
