A new performance venue and conference centre in Derby is under construction and we were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes look.
Donning our PPE, we were able to take an exclusive walk through The Becketwell Performance Venue on Colyear Street.
The 3,500 capacity venue is set to open early next year in 2025.

Set to host more than 200 cultural and commercial events each year, the venue is expected to attract an additional 250,000 visitors to Derby.
The venue is expected to create over 200 new local jobs, and increase levels of investment in surrounding areas of the city centre. Today (July 11), the venue marked a major milestone as developers began installing curtain walling.
Upon completion, the venue will be owned by Derby City Council and leased to and operated by ASM Global, a leading venue management company, whose UK portfolio includes OVO Arena Wembley, AO Arena (Manchester), and Olympia and OVO Hydro (Glasgow).
