A beautiful Derbyshire stately home has been named as one of the most iconic landmarks in the UK.
Big House Experience revealed Chatsworth as a top visitors spot by analysing Wikipedia page view data from worldwide searches.

Hide AdIt garnered over 3.1 million Wikipedia searches, making it one of the most popular sites in the UK.
The luxury UK rental home provider created a map of the nation according to its most iconic landmarks and in doing so, has revealed how the world sees the UK’s different regions.
Chatsworth House made the top 10 landmarks too, having the ninth highest search volume figure across the 49 counties included.

Hide AdThe majestic house is also a top filming destination where blockbusters including Pride and Prejudice (2005), The Duchess, and The Wolfman were shot.
Of course being able to spot familiar film scenes during a trip to Chatsworth isn’t the sole reason why people are intrigued by the site.
It is a beautiful, heritage-rich property boasting artwork dating back 4,000 years, there are 25 jaw dropping rooms overlooking a 105 acre garden, and more.
The University of Oxford topped the list of most searched-for landmark in the whole of the UK, with a whopping 12,764,009 page views on Wikipedia.

Hide AdBuckingham Palace came second, with the majestic royal residence garnering an impressive 11,905,138 views.
The University of Cambridge is the second university on the prestigious list. It came third, racking up 9,163,369 views.
More than half (53%) of the UK's most iconic landmarks are manor houses, palaces, or castles, emphasising the significant role our rich heritage plays in shaping the country's image.
More than one-eighth (12.2%) of iconic UK landmarks are natural sites, highlighting the renown of the UK outdoors and landscapes.
