Derby stabbing sees Derbyshire Police launch appeal

A man in his 20s sustained non-life threatening injuries to his legs and groin.

Derbyshire Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Derby.

Officers were called to reports of an assault in Mercian Way just before 4.40pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

A man in his 20s sustained non-life threatening injuries to his legs and groin.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information.
