In just a few days Download Festival will be returning to Donington Park for it’s 2024 event.

With headliners including Fall Out Boy, Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age - this year’s event is poised to be one of the biggest and best yet.

Thousands of rock fans will descend upon Castle Donington for a weekend of moshing, headbanging, and boozing. Download Festival 2024 takes place from June 14th-16th.

What are the alcohol limits for Download Festival?

Attendees over the age of 18 can bring alcohol onto the Download Festival campsites (excessive amounts not allowed), however it's prohibited in the main arena.

According to the official Download Festival website, each festival goer may bring one of the following:

  • One case or 24 cans of alcohol
  • 3L box of wine
  • 70cl of spirits decanted into a vessel (not glass)

You may also bring a mix of the above for example 12 cans and 35cl of spirits or 6 cans and 1ltr of wine and 25cl spirits.

Glass is not permitted, alcohol from glass bottles must be decanted.

Important information

You cannot bring alcohol into the arena (bars are available in the arena).

If you have a medical condition that means you need to bring your own food or drink or medication, please bring a medical note or evidence to support this.
