Emergency services are now scaling back their response but will remain on site in the coming days.
Drone footage has revealed the destruction caused by a suspected gas explosion at a terraced house on Eden Street, Alvaston.
The explosion, reported at 7:24 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, left one home severely damaged and affected several neighbouring properties.
A man was seriously injured and taken to hospital. Urban search and rescue teams also saved a dog, which was handed over to a vet.
The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the incident alongside emergency teams. Eden Street remains closed and is expected to stay shut for the foreseeable future.
