Hooters bankruptcy: Hooters of Nottingham releases statement to customers to address closure rumours
Hooters’ Nottingham restaurant has released a statement reassuring customers that it will remain open after its US arm filed for bankruptcy.
Earlier this week, Hooters in the US filed for bankruptcy due to spiralling debts following a court hearing in Dallas, Texas.

Hide AdHOA operates 151 restaurants directly, with an additional 154 locations, primarily in the US, run by franchisees.
The company aims to negotiate a deal to sell its company-owned restaurants to a group that includes its original founders.
It has assured investors that it intends to remain open and resolve its issues within the next few months.
What does this mean for Hooters in Nottingham?
The UK currently has a pair of Hooters — one in Nottingham and another in Liverpool.

Hide AdThe bankruptcy process will not affect these locations, which will continue to operate as usual.
In a statement, Hooters Nottingham said: “Just to reassure all of our very loyal Hooters Nottingham customers that we are here to stay.
“We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such loyal customers since our restaurant opened in 1998.
“We look forward to serving you amazing food & drinks whilst creating more memories in our iconic Nottingham restaurant for many more years to come!!”
The Nottingham franchise, owned by Julian Mills and Johnny Goard, has been in operation since 1998.
