I loved Y Not Festival and definitely want to go back
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Y Not Festival took place last week in Pikehall - and I'm still thinking about it!
This year's headliners included Kasabian, Paul Weller and Royal Blood.

Hide AdI was lucky enough to attend the festival and experience what it has to offer.
Music
The range of music at Y Not this year was amazing.
There was definitely an act for everyone's tastes.
My favourite act over the weekend had to be the incredible Maisie Peters, who headlined The Quarry stage on Friday.
I also discovered a lot of new acts at the festival, especially on The Quarry stage, that I will be looking out for in the future.
Finally, there were lots of Derby bands and musicians performing on the stages which I thoroughly enjoyed watching, including the lovely Jemma Johnson and Emzae who I got to chat to after their sets.

Hide AdFood and drink
There were so many different food and drink stalls at the festival so you definitely weren't short of choice.
The food and drink were quite expensive but that is quite typical nowadays for large-scale events.
I had some delicious pizzas from the stalls and definitely took advantage of the free Coke Zero stand.
Camping
This was my first time camping and it was a lot better than what I had expected.

Hide AdI was in VIP camping for the weekend which had lots of space for all the tents and perks including showers, a pamper room and a coffee stand.
The main issue with camping and staying at the festival was the lack of toilets - but organisers have addressed this issue and hopefully next year it will be better.
Overall
I had an amazing time at Y Not watching lots of amazing music acts and being part of the festival atmosphere.
The rainy weather managed to hold off until the Sunday evening so it wasn't very muddy until the last night.

Hide AdI want to say a huge thank you to The Outside Organisation for inviting me to the festival and accommodating us during the weekend.
This was my first festival - and I would definitely like to go to others in the future.
