His death is not being treated as suspicious

A man died at this year's Download Festival, police have confirmed.

His death at the event - which took place at Donington Park in Leicestershire - is not being treated as suspicious.

Police have not released the identity of the man.

Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "On Monday morning, officers received a call for the welfare of a man in a tent at a festival in Castle Donington.

"They attended along with on-site medical responders.

"However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

"Identification of the deceased is a matter for the coroner."

Download Festival attracted a record number of music fans this year - more than 120,000 people attended.

It was held over five days - Wednesday to Sunday last week - to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival.
