Hide AdA local pub has recognised the versatility of this unassuming treat by launching a monthly srisp sandwich night.
Tom Said, a micro-pub on Well Street, Ripley, is inviting punters to come up with their favourite crisp sandwich fillings ahead of the launch of the first official Crisp Sandwich Night next week.
The landlord will be sure to have fun with crisp fillings, which could include Beef Sticks and Bacon Bites for meat lovers, Space Invaders for those wanting to go old school, and ridged sour cream with smoked paprika for the bougie crowd.

Hide AdEnjoying crisps is thirsty work, so expect an excellent selection of craft and keg beers to keep your thirst quenched.
A post on the pub’s Facebook page said: ‘We are starting a monthly crisp sandwich night. Our first one is on the 27th February and then it will be the last Tuesday of every month.
"We've stolen this idea from our good friend Lee at The Pottle Micro-pub in Beeston. They hold a Crisp Sandwich Night every week. Make sure you give them a follow, they have some amazing beers and crisps sandwiches. Comment which crisps make the best crisp sandwiches!’
