A large formation of military aircraft will take part in the rehearsal
Rehearsals for next month’s VE Day 80th anniversary flypast are due to be held in skies near Derbyshire at the end of April.
This May, a range of celebrations will take place across the UK to mark 80 years since the end of World War Two in Europe.
The celebrations, including a flypast, concert and Westminster Abbey service, will be held between May 5 and May 8.
Scheduled to take place on Bank Holiday Monday (May 5), the flypast will see dozens of military aircraft soar over London and over Buckingham Palace.
A rehearsal for the flypast is set to be held on Monday, April 28.
Involving a large number of military aircraft, the rehearsal will give members of the public a chance to see some of the RAF’s most famous aircraft.
Route and timings for the rehearsal on April 28
The rehearsals will start in the vicinity of the North Sea adjacent to East Anglia at 11.45am, shown on the map as Area A.
The aircraft will then transit to Area B, which crosses the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
Rehearsals over Area B will take place between 1.15pm and 2.10pm.

In the event of an unsuccessful rehearsal on April 28, it will be rescheduled for the following day.
