Weather forecast: Derby to bask in sunny 26° temperatures hotter than Mediterranean this week
Derby and the wider East Midlands is set to see warmer, double-digit temperatures over the coming weeks.
According to the Met Office, high pressure will build across Derby and the UK this week, with temperatures expected to peak on Thursday.

Hide AdToday (Monday, April 28, 2025) Derby has enjoyed plenty of sunshine and light winds, although a front will stall across the far north of the UK bringing cooler and cloudier conditions there.


Temperatures will be quite widely into the high teens.
Derby is all set for a maximum of 26° on Thursday, May 1, 2025, making it hotter than the Mediterranean; Algiers is expecting to hit a high of 22° on the same day.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Fine and dry conditions continue through the week with plenty of sunshine. Feeling very warm or hot with light winds.
Thursday is set to see the highest temperature of the week when the mercury is expected to hit 26°.
Friday is set to be a little more cloudy giving rise to a slightly cooler day, with temperatures around the 21° mark.
