Met Office confirms milder weather forecast after constant rain - Derby to be as hot as Greece
Met Office’s latest weather forecast is a welcome change to the near-constant rain we have seen of late.
Weather in Derby is set to be as hot as Greece this week with temperatures slowly climbing to the highest seen this year.
The Met Office confirmed the 15° high will be on Wednesday, February 25.
This makes it as warm as Greece which is also expecting to see 15° on the same day.

It will be a mild start to the week which will see Derby enjoy sunny spells interspersed with cloud and rain, feeling breezy and mild.
The high double digit temperatures are a surprise, considering what has felt like non-stop rain since the year began.
According to the Met Office, it has been an exceptionally wet start to 2026.
A strong and unusually southerly jet stream has steered a succession of low‑pressure systems towards our shores, bringing frequent rain, strong winds and, at times, wintry hazards. Across the UK, 26 stations set new monthly records for highest January rainfall.
It may appear the weather has turned a clement corner - for now.
Here is the Met Office weather forecast for Derby this week
