Hide AdEarlier this week the yellow weather warning for strong winds issued by the Met Office for Wednesday and Thursday included Derby - however, the warning has since been scaled back, leaving Derby just outside of the warning area.
Heavy rain is expected to hit Derby from 3pm on Wednesday afternoon, continuing through until the early evening - and previously predicted gusts of up to 60mph are now not expected, with wind speeds forecast to reach highs of 35mph tonight.
On Thursday the worst of the weather will be behind Derby, however conditions will remain cloudy throughout the day, with only a small chance of showers predicted.

1pm - Cloudy with 20% chance of rain / Temperature 17C
2pm - Cloudy with 10% chance of rain / Temperature 18C

4pm - Rain chances easing off to 60%
5pm - Conditions continue to ease with chances of rain reduced to 50%
6pm - Over cast with 10% chance of rain
7pm - The second deluge is predicted during early evening, with 80% chance forecast
8pm - rain easing off again down to 60% chance
