Derby County go into their next game off the back of three poor performances in a row and will be desperate to put things right.

They make the trip to London to face a Charlton Athletic side who have underwhelmed this season. The Addicks are 18th in League One, just four points away from the relegation zone.

Before the season, Charlton were outsiders for a possible playoff push, but have really struggled and recently sacked manager Michael Appleton and so will face the Rams with an interim manager.

In a game that Derby will be made favourites, here is the predicted XI for Paul Warne's side:

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Goalkeeper: Josh Vickers

Josh Vickers has taken the place of former first choice Joe Wildsmith and it is still unknown as to why Paul Warne has made the change. However, he has looked solid over the past couple of games and so until Warne changes back, Vickers will be the shotstopper.

Left back: Louie Sibley

Louie Sibley started at left back last week in place of the injured Callum Elder. The Australian could return from injury on Saturday but it has not been clear as to whether he'll be ready or not.

Sibley could well step in again.

Centre back: Curtis Nelson

Curtis Nelson should be in the starting XI every week assuming he is fit. Derby's recent defensive record has been very up and down and so Nelson will be hoping they can keep a clean sheet and improve this weekend.

Centre back: Eiran Cashin

Derby County have managed to hold onto Eiran Cashin throughout January which is a key step towards a promotion push.

He will be a crucial part of Paul Warne's side going forward.

Right back: Kane Wilson

Kane Wilson has been impressive in his recent outings as he has been one of the most electric players going forward for the Rams down the wing.

He should feature again this week against Charlton Athletic.

Centre midfield: Conor Hourihane

Conor Hourihane hasn't been good enough as of late. Derby looked a lot more controlling in midfield after he was taken off against Cheltenham Town last weekend. The Rams' captain will be keen on bouncing back this weekend.

Centre midfield: Max Bird

Max Bird was arguably the best player on the field last weekend against Cheltenham Town. He scored a brilliant free kick to get the Rams equal in the second half.

He will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday.

Attacking midfield: Liam Thompson

Liam Thompson has been in and out of the starting XI since he returned from injury early in January. His high-energy style of play is very popular with Rams fans and he'll be hoping that Warne will give him the chance to start against Charlton.

Left wing: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been brilliant for Derby County this season. He recorded a perfect assist against Cheltenham Town last weekend with a cross into the box to set up James Collins' winning goal.

Right wing: Corey Blackett-Taylor

Corey Blackett-Taylor will be returning to face his former team this weekend after he signed with the Rams from Charlton less than two weeks ago.

He started the last game for Derby and will be hoping that he can get one up on his former team this weekend too.

Striker: James Collins

James Collins scored a fantastic goal last weekend against Cheltenham giving Derby all three points. Paul Warne will be banking on the 33 year-old providing more attacking threat this week against Charlton.
