They come off the back of a 2-1 loss to Charlton where they conceded a penalty in the second half which allowed the Addicks back into the game.

Defender Kane Wilson spoke to Rams TV ahead of Saturday's match, he said: "The only option to put it right is by winning.

"It’s not been great by all of us really myself included. We have to put it right this weekend.

"Our set pieces have been really good but its just been a couple of individual mistakes for instance when we gave the penalty away.

"Its just little things that if we can cut them out then I think we can start getting back to where we were. We had a great run and its getting to the business end now, so this is where we’re supposed to be putting our foot down."

Wilson has experience promotion before whilst he was at Forest Green Rovers who earnt promotion from League Two in 2022.

The full back said that his experience with the Rams feels very similar, he added: "We were numerous points in front and then and we were the team being chased which isn’t nice, it’s not a nice feeling.

"You might say that its similar to the situation that we’re in, the teams are trying to chase us, but we’ve got so much quality here and so much experience that we can start pushing on now.

"We don’t fear anybody, we just want to focus on ourselves."

Kane Wilson joined from Bristol City in the summer and has settled in well to his new home. The 23 year-old has played in 31 matches this season, scoring one and assisting twice.

Wilson has played a lot of this season on the right hand side, along with star winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who has been one of the best in League One this year.

However, it hasn't just been on the pitch that Wilson and Mendez-Laing have developed a good relationship. He said that the Guatemalan is someone that he really looks up to: "We get on really well, he’s really taken a shining to me, he’s an older pro and so he’s kind of been able to take me under his wing.

"He has been really good for me and he’s setting an example that I’d love to follow."

Wilson and his teamates will be hoping that they can get back to winning ways against Port Vale on Saturday.
