Former Derby County captain praises "exceptional" Rams
Derby County have now won three on the bounce
Derby County have now won three games on the bounce, with two 3-0 wins and a 2-1 win over Reading on Tuesday night.
Paul Warne's side are currently second in League One and just one point ahead of their next opponents in Bolton Wanderers.
It is built to be the biggest game of the season so far, for both sides as it simply could decide who wins automatic promotion.
Former Derby County captain Shaun Barker said that it's just important to make sure the Rams get the results.
Speaking to Rams TV, he said: "Well, every game is going to feel like that from now until the end of the season. And what is promising and what is positive is the way that we are performing and getting results at the moment."
Derby go into the clash with Bolton in good form and keen on holding that momentum as they head into the last eight games of the season.
Shaun Barker spent six years at Pride Park that ended in a severe knee injury. He made 98 appearances for the Rams.
Barker continued: “It just feels, at this point, probably the most important time of the season, we’ve found everything.
"We’ve found players that are performing at a high level; we’ve found a way to play and build in different ways. The energy from the lads has been exceptional, so hopefully we have hit the sweet spot right there.”
A number of players have made an impact recently. The likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Joe Ward have been brilliant. Alongside this, new signing Dwight Gayle has been excellent, scoring three goals in his first five appearances for the Rams.
He could be crucial for Saturday's clash with a tough Bolton side.
