"Complete opposites": Derby County prepare for Wycombe Wanderers clash
Derby County vs Wycombe Wanderers kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 16 December
Derby County head into Saturday's clash in the best form so far this season. They've won five games in a row and look unbeatable at the moment.
Paul Warne will be delighted with how his side are performing and they have the chance to go as high as second in League One with a win against Wycombe.
His side currently sit in sixth place nine points behind the league leaders Portsmouth. The Rams have at least one game in hand on four of the five teams ahead of them and so have a great chance to push further up the playoff places.
They face a Wycombe side who are in 15th place and have lost their last four games.
In terms of form, the two teams are complete opposites as Wycombe have been sliding down the table, a disappointment for the Chairboys who were expected to be playoff outsiders at the start of the season.
Struggling for goals
Wycombe have been really struggling to score lately as they have only scored one goal in their last five games. They will come to Pride Park facing a Derby side who have the best defensive record in the league.
The Chairboys' manager Matt Bloomfield will be keen to stop the slide, however if recent goal form is anything to go by, his side could be looking at another goalless game on Saturday.
Despite the recent poor record, Bloomfield's side do have some danger going forward in the form of midfielder Luke Leahy who has scored five goals and recorded four assists so far this season.

Any goal threat from Wycombe on Saturday will likely come through Leahy in some form.
Perfect spell
In a complete contrast, Paul Warne's Derby County have been excellent recently with five wins in a row, making them one of the most in form teams in the EFL.
They will be looking to make it six wins from six and get even closer to the automatic promotion places. The likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Max Bird have been perfect lately, with the Guatemalan international having been a real stand out.

Mendez-Laing is currently the highest rated player on WhoScored.com in League One this season and recently has been fantastic. He scored against Leyton Orient in the Rams' last game and has scored in four of Derby's last five games.
Predictions
Everything suggests that Derby should find Saturday to be quite a comfortable afternoon as they haven't been conceding goals and they face a side who are really struggling going forward.
Wycombe will have a tough task ahead of them and will go into the game as big underdogs over Paul Warne's Derby.
Fans could expect to see a scoreline from 2-0 to 4-0 in the favour of the home team at Pride Park, something that could make for an entertaining afternoon for Rams fans.
Derby County vs Wycombe Wanderers will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 16 December.
