Derby County look likely to miss out of transfer target striker Josh Windass.
The Rams have reportedly been interested in signing Windass since last summer, but he is a wanted man.

Windass is out of contract at Sheffield Wednesday at the end of June and so teams will be trying to land his signature before he officially becomes a free agent.
The Owls have also expressed their interest in keeping the attacker, so the decision will ultimatley go to Windass.
The 30 year-old made 25 appearances for Wednesday this past season, scoring six goals and recording two assists.

Windass has also previously spent time with Wigan Athletic, Rangers and Accrington Stanley.
Derby’s need for a striker will get adressed this summer in some form as the Rams currently only have Conor Washington under contract with negotiations to extend James Collins’ deal ongoing.
Paul Warne has expressed his interest in signing a younger striker which means that Windass may not be the best option.
But with very thin depth at the position, Warne may be disappointed to have found out that the Rams are likely to miss out on the Wednesday man.
