Lowe, 29, is having a great season for the Swans, having scored nine goals and recorded three assists so far this season.

His contract at Bournemouth is set to expire at the end of the season and so Lowe should become a free agent.

Swansea City want to make him permanent, however manager Luke Williams says that it could be tricky too sign the winger.

He told the Daily Echo: “I think it’s going to be difficult because Jamal is on a Premier League salary. That could be a real issue.”

This would make it unlikely for Derby to sign the winger due to the club’s limited budget with owner David Clowes, however, if the Rams like Lowe, they could be prepared to spend on him if they feel the value is worth it.

Lowe has also attracted interest from Norwich City and Championship promotion challengers Ipswich Town.

Middlesborough, Watford, Milwall and Portsmouth are also rumoured to be looking at the Jamaican intertantional so Derby could have a lot of competition should they try to land the 28 year-old’s signature.

The winger came through the ranks at Barnet in 2011 but struggled to find permanent form as he went on loan to a number of lower-league clubs.

He signed for Portsmouth in 2017 and began to find his form scoring 25 goals before moving to Wigan and then Swansea in 2020.

He has since been on loan at QPR and now Swansea again from Bournemouth were he also had a strong season in 2021.

Lowe would fit well into a Derby team that could do with his blend of Championship experience and raw attacking pace, however as mentioned, it will be tricky for the Rams to land the 28 year-old.
