Interim Derby County manager Matt Hamshaw said the 1-1 draw against Norwich City in front of a 26,584 strong crowd was a great result given their seven-game Championship losing run and the sacking of Paul Warne as head coach on Friday.

Derby County secured a dramatic and crucial 1-1 draw at Norwich City in a close-fought contest at Carrow Road in the Sky Bet Championship.

Both teams saw the ball in the back of the net ten minutes into the first half as Lars-Jørgen Salvesen netted for Derby and Lewis Dobbin finished for the Canaries - but both goals were disallowed.

Josh Sargent gave the hosts the advantage in the 68th minute after a tight and competitive game to break the deadlock

However, Derby's spirit saw them remain in the game and substitute Jerry Yates’ penalty in added time clinched a hard-earned point on the road.

A total of 1,793 away supporters were at the match.

The Rams will face Oxford United at Pride Park Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday 11th February (7:45pm kick-off).
