Derby County striker makes League One Team of the Week

Derby County striker James Collins has been awarded a spot in the League One team of the week.

The 32-year-old forward netted twice in Derby’s 2-0 win away against Carlisle United.

Collins scored after 18 minutes with a first time effort that he blasted down into the net. He added to the Rams’ lead after he scored an emphatic penalty in the 84th minute helping secure all three points for Paul Warne’s side.

The two goals takes Collins’ Derby tally up to 16 goals in 62 appearances since joining in the summer of 2022.

Collins hit a big milestone as he hit 200 career league goals over a career that has spanned over 14 years.
