Derby County face a tricky trip to Wycombe this evening as they look to extend the gap to Bolton Wanderers who are just one point behind the Rams.
Paul Warne’s side would take control of their destiny with a win and so it could prove to be a huge game for the promotion race.
Last time out, the Rams put in a brilliant performance against top of the league Portsmouth but came away with just a point after an incredible equaliser from midfielder Owen Moxon.
Paul Warne will be feeling confident that his team selection can get the job done and help his side come away with all three points against the Chairboys.
1. Goalkeeper: Joe Wildsmith
With Josh Vickers back from injury there is a doubt over which goalkeeper Paul Warne will opt to start. Wildsmith has been in good form apart from a shaky performance against Portsmouth. However, he can't be blamed too much as the weather played a big part. Warne could make the switch but Wildsmith would be a great choice either way.
2. Right back: Kane Wilson
Kane Wilson runs with energy and drive and has had a lengthy spell at the right back position now. He has a knack for taking players on and can track back when he needs to. He should be expecting to start against Wycombe this week. Photo: Michael Regan
3. Left back: Louie Sibley
Despite being a natural centre midfielder, Louie Sibley has excelled at left back for the Rams. His hard tackling style has suited well coupled with his attacking desire making both of the Rams' full backs eager to go forward which proved to be very useful on counter attacks against Portsmouth last time out. 4. Centre back: Eiran Cashin
There's no consideration needed here. Eiran Cashin has just been nominated for the League One player of the month award and it is no suprise. One of if not the best defender in the division, barring any injury, he will start all the remaining games.
