Hull City have made a bid for Derby midfielder Max Bird, but it is understoof that the Rams have rejected the bid.

Hull City have reportedly made a transfer bid for Derby County star midfielder Max Bird.

However, Derby County have rejected the bid according to Derbyshire Live because the offer fell way short of what the Rams would accept.

The Championship club, managed by Bird’s former boss Liam Rosenior will have to revise thier offer if they are to land the 22-year-old.

Bird, who has spent all of his career with the Rams so far, has made over 160 appearances for Derby scoring four goals.

The midfielder’s contract at Pride Park is due to run out next summer and so the Rams will either look to sell him this window or offer the Burton-born Bird a new contract.

With the link to Liam Rosenior, it would make sense for Bird to make the move to Hull over other clubs, but only time will tell if this is a deal that can be agreed.
