Derby County’s goal of the month award nominees have been annouced for September.

Derby County have announced their three goal of the month nominees for September after one of Martyn Waghorn’s three goals against Peterborough won the award in August.

Voting is now open on Derby County’s Twitter account.

Tom Barkhuizen vs Lincoln City

Tom Barkhuizen netted his first goal of the season in the EFL Trophy against Lincoln City in what was a solid 2-0 win for the Rams. He finished a nice move by Paul Warne’s side which started from the back with Eiran Cashin.

Barkhuizen made a nice move faking a touch and running through where James Collins played the ball behind for a simple finish from Barkhuizen.

Louie Sibley vs Lincoln City

The Rams’ second nominee was also against Lincoln City in the EFL Trophy.

Sibley picked the ball up from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who held it up for him duing a Derby County counter attack.

The midfielder then ran through on goal and placed it into the roof of the net with a lovely finish to make it 2-0 to Derby in a good performance.

James Collins vs Carlisle United

James Collins scored twice in the Rams’ 2-0 win away at Brunton Park. His first effort making the list as his second was a penalty.

Collins hit a first time effort into the ground nestling at the back of the net after a nice cross from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.
