The Cobblers have settled for mid-table obscurity as they haven't won in their last five games. Jon Brady's side are 13 points off the playoffs and so aren't likely to make a push into the top six at the end of the season.
After their poor run, Northampton manager Jon Brady says that they need to improve for Saturday's game against Derby.
He said, on Northampton Town's news page: “We need our edge back, I don’t want the season to drift and I want us to finish the season strong. “We need to be better all over and I feel we have just lost that edge in our play and mindset."

He added: “You have got to be relentless at this level, those goals shouldn’t go in today and we have got to address that.
“We’ve got one of the hardest challenges in the league next weekend and maybe we need that. I’m sure there will be a full house at Sixfields and its an opportunity for us to get back on track.”
