Who is Joe Litchfield? Derbyshire-born swimmer representing Team GB at the Paris Olympics 2024


All eyes are on Britain’s sporting stars as Team GB heads to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Among them is Derbyshire-born Joe Litchfield, who is representing Britain in the Olympic Swimming Team.

Hide AdLitchfield, from Chesterfield, sealed his place after winning the 100-meter butterfly at the 2024 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships and will compete in the relay for Great Britain this summer.
The 26-year-old swimmer has won gold medals as part of a team at the European Championship, and a team bronze at the World Championship.
Who are Joe Litchfield’s dad and brother?


His older brother Max Litchfield is also a swimmer. Joe watched big bro Max, compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics before taking to the water himself in 2020 in Tokyo.
According to the Team GB website Joe now lives in Pontefract.

Hide AdJoe and Max are the sons of professional goalkeeper Peter Litchfield. He started his career with Droylsden and played in the Football League with Preston North End, Bradford City, Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United.
