Christmas market with a twist happening at the Derbion this weekend

If the thought of Christmas shopping fills your heart with ice cold dread, you may be intrigued by Christmas markets with a festive twist hosted in Derby.

‘Meet The Maker' markets are curated by Design 44, a homeware and lifestyle brand that also has a shop in Derbion shopping centre.

It is running indie-centric markets in the run-up to Christmas and is giving shoppers the chance to have a chat with local traders and buy handmade gifts for Christmas from stalls set up inside Derbion shopping centre.

It’s a lovely way to buy gifts and treats made by creative people and support local businesses at the same time. 

The last session of the year will be this weekend, and with the big day around the corner, it could be a great time to pick up artisan Christmas presents with a handmade touch.

For those who don’t quite know what to gift that special someone, having a browse on the stalls could give you inspiration of what to buy.

You could also pick yourself up a treat too, if something catches your eye.

Here is everything you need to know about Design 44 Makers Market Derbion

The markets will be running on Saturday December 16 (9am - 6pm) and Sunday December 17 (10.30am - 4.30pm). 

They can be found on Level 1 (ground floor) directly outside the Design 44 store in Derbion.

The most recent Makers market hosted a large variety of items from producers in Derbyshire and beyond, where people could buy pillar candles, decorative candle holders, luxury matches, artwork, prints, greeting cards and more.
