Derby rock band LostAlone opening for McFly’s UK tour
LostAlone's albums have been highly acclaimed by pundits and fans, as Ella Beecroft reports
LostAlone was formed in 2005 inspired by the music of Queen, Kate Bush and David Bowie.
The band consists of Steven Battelle, Alan Williamson and Mark Gibson who gained worldwide attention very quickly after releasing their first songs.
Steven, the lead singer and guitarist for LostAlone, has co-written with McFly for their new album and now his band will be heading on tour with them.
He said: “I love touring and I love the guys in McFly so it’s a perfect combination with hitting some great cities and venues.
“It’s been such a thrill full of musically fulfilling moments writing the new record with them.”
The lead singer has been involved in the songwriting of many artists including Derby’s own MuddiBrooke.
He added: “It’s always brilliant to see new bands coming up from my home city.
“Derby has always produced a wide variety of talented artists.”

The band has performed headline shows around the country and in Europe with My Chemical Romance in 2011 and 2022.
Steven said: “One of our favourite gigs as a band was in Milan on the My Chemical Romance Danger Days tour.
“There was an insane audience which felt like a baying mob of loveliness.”
Their latest album The Warring Twenties was released in September 2022, eight years after LostAlone split in 2014.
The band was brought back together when My Chemical Romance reached out to Steven to ask him to perform on their reunion tour and Steven suggested that LostAlone should get together again.
Currently, they have more than 3,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and their albums have been highly acclaimed by pundits and fans.
New singles by LostAlone will be coming out soon and they will be performing on the main stage at the 2000 Trees Festival in July
Tickets for McFly’s tour are on sale now for October and November this year.
