People can expect festivities during a vibrant evening filled with creativity, culture, and community spirit.

Guests can enjoy a delicious selection of Indian delicacies and hear storytelling that delves into the significance of Diwali.
DerbyWorld caught up with Artcore CEO Ruchita Shaikh DL.
Speaking about the essence behind the fun event, she said: “Artcore’s Diwali event is more than just a celebration; it is a part of our ethos and an extension of our everyday mission.
“Rooted in our commitment to community and creativity, this event is especially significant in today’s socio-political climate, where connection and understanding are more important than ever.
“Festivals encompass many things, but at their heart, they celebrate creativity - homes are adorned with beautiful decorations, traditional dishes prepared with love and innovative twists, and people coming together in their finest attire.
“At Artcore we honour creativity and togetherness every day, this event offers a unique opportunity to showcase that spirit.”
Diwali is traditionally a festival of light that brings people together.
Artcore continues to be a champion of unity in the city.
Earlier this year it hosted a Festival of Togetherness which included a speech from The Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mrs. Elizabeth Fothergill CBE, who is His Majesty The Kings’ representative in the County.
Reflecting on the community spirit theme - which is also at the beating heart of the Artcore Derby mission, Ruchita said: “Our event is a unique opportunity to connect with others and themselves through creativity, especially during the festive season.
“For those who celebrate Diwali, it offers a taste of home, complete with traditions, decorations, and food.
“It’s a chance to learn about the Festival of Lights in a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere.
“Whether to celebrate or simply experience something new, Artcore provides a safe, inclusive space in the heart of Derby where everyone can come together.
“Best of all, the entire experience is free, and everyone is welcome to participate.
“Join us for an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, connection, and artistic expression.”
