Activities include workshops and creative sessions taking place in Derby city centre on a warm summer’s day. People are encouraged to dress up as their favourite pirate and get stuck into a day of marvellous mayhem!

A creative festival with a twist celebrating the very best of local talent in Derbyshire is gearing up for its annual summer festival.

Furthest From The Sea is a music, comedy and arts festival taking place in Derby city centre.

People can enjoy free activities and performances across the city, on Cathedral Green outside the Museum Of Making.

The Gig On The Green is set to take place on Friday, June 21.

People can expect an evening of music, food, drinks and family fun.

Furthest From The Sea will take place on Saturday, June 22.

This is a family pirate festival where people can dress up as pirates and dive into a swashbuckling day of fun activities on the Green.

The festival puts locals at the heart of its community-led event.

In 2021, their project Furthest From The Sea At The Fringe supported local artists at Belper Fringe, Greater Manchester Fringe, Nottingham, and Leicester comedy festivals.
