Derbyshire is one of the prettiest counties in the UK (we’re going to say that as we’re slightly biased).
However there are several places in Derbyshire and the Peak District that may fly under your radar.
You may be a frequent visitor of Bakewell - with those puddings we sure are too!
But have you ever heard of Foolow or Longcliffe?
These are towns and villages in the Peak District which could be perfect for exploring if you wanted to experience a slice of country life in a space new to you, without the busy crowds.
As Derbyshire enters the very welcome double-digit weather, and with Easter peeking around the corner, how about planning a day-trip to these places?
From the quiet Derbyshire hamlet of Bagshaw to the hidden gem of Castleton, here are seven superb market towns and villages to visit.

2. Abney Moor
Enjoy the joys of Abney Moor which you can see here on the horizon, along with Cressbrook Dale. The views at the relatively unknown Abney Moor are the real stars of the show.
