Derby Cathedral to host special Remembrance event where you can read poetry under the moon
People are invited to recite poetry at Museum Of The Moon. It can either be your own work or a piece by your favourite poet.
Derby Cathedral has announced it will host a special Remembrance Day event, where you can read poetry under a sculpture of the moon.
During the service, people will be invited to read their own poems or listen to recitals under a giant hanging moon suspended from Derby Cathedral’s nave.
The Moon Exhibition is a giant sculpture of the moon by acclaimed artist Luke Jerram. To be in its presence is a grounding moment; add the heartfelt poignancy of Remembrance Day and it is set to be an event that will be remembered for many years to come.
Speakers can share their original work or read aloud a piece by their favourite poet.
