Drivers in and around Erewash will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A42, from 8pm February 7 to 6am November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound and southbound, junction 23a to junction 25, carriageway, slip road and lane closures due to improvement works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A38, from 8pm February 21 to 5am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 northbound, Little Eaton to Coxbench, Lane closures for safety repair works.

A52, from 8pm February 23 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Ockbrook to Wollaton (Priory Roundabout), Lane and lay-by closures due to maintenance works.

A453, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 25 to junction 23a, slip road and lane closures for electrical works, diversion route via National Highways network.

A5111, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 eastbound and westbound, Spondon to Sandiacre, Lane closures due to horticultural works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
